No Right Click Script Bullshit
It’s her burial today. Everybody was crying, including a girl named Shari. Sighs….
I have too many things I want to blog about that I don’t even know how or where to start. What I know is that I’m going to start now.
I know most of you, especially my Filipino visitors, know a certain girl named Anne. Yes, it’s meeeee linking to her website. You’re welcome to visit it if you want. If you know me, you’d know that I don’t hesitate to namedrop in my blog. This is not the first time I’ve done this, and it’s certainly not gonna be the last. I know I’m being a total bitch, butbutbutbut I just can’t help it! Just pretty please, let me rant.
I stumbled upon Anne’s blog when I saw a Filipina1 comment on Corrine’s website. I hardly ever read comments made by other people on blogs that I visit, but I was examining Corrine’s new theme, so I couldn’t help noticing the comment. I don’t even go to Visitors section of websites. So anyway, yours truly cautiously clicked on the link, just for the heck of it. I was taken to a blog with a premade layout, and the blogger gave proper credit so I was really happy and relieved.2 I made a visit to Credits page, which was a total surprise as she links to numerous Filipino websites. Most of them, I already knew because soooo many people are “hiring” them.
Okay, I won’t go into details about the people who sell layouts, who’re3, in the process, committing a crime called something we all know and are familiar with. I’ve written about this before. I mean, using noncommercial materials such as brushes, patterns, textures, and images4 for badly hideously-coded layouts for PhP250-300? If it isn’t copyright infringement, then tell me what it is.5 No one reads and understands what I’m saying anyway, so I guess I’m just gonna have to wait for the time when my patience runs out and I have no choice but to report each and every single one of those people who continuously do this.
So anyway, a certain website link caught my eye because the blogger gave credit to her for a script. “What script?” I wondered. A visit to the site reveals an orange-y theme. Fine by me. Of course, I greedily clicked on the Visitors link with the thought of what could be in store for me. That I was disappointed is the first understatement of the year.
The site offers so-called tutorials. One of the things I’ve noticed was the usual “No Right Click,” something that does nothing but make the one who uses it look stupid, really. It doesn’t prevent stealers from stealing, and it’s hella annoying. I can easily look at your codes if I wanted to, which I don’t, because my coding is unquestionably neater. This is probably what I get from reading A List Apart and tutorials such as the ones written on Tutorialtastic, not some n00b’s take on what basic HTML is.
What completely sets me off is that she changed the by-line of the script, from Renigade (renigade@mediaone.net) to *gasps* *shocks* *faints* *drum roll* her name!
Here’s “her” script.
<script language=JavaScript>
//Disable right click script III- By ANNE
var message="";
///////////////////////////////////
function clickIE() {if (document.all) {(message);return false;}}
function clickNS(e) {if
(document.layers||(document.getElementById&&!document.all)) {
if (e.which==2||e.which==3) {(message);return false;}}}
if (document.layers)
{document.captureEvents(Event.MOUSEDOWN);document.onmousedown=clickNS; }
else{document.onmouseup=clickNS;document.oncontextmenu=clickIE;}
document.oncontextmenu=new Function("return false")
</script>
And here’s the original one.
<script language=JavaScript>
<!--
//Disable right click script III- By Renigade (renigade@mediaone.net)
//For full source code, visit http://www.dynamicdrive.com
var message="";
///////////////////////////////////
function clickIE() {if (document.all) {(message);return false;}}
function clickNS(e) {if
(document.layers||(document.getElementById&&!document.all)) {
if (e.which==2||e.which==3) {(message);return false;}}}
if (document.layers)
{document.captureEvents(Event.MOUSEDOWN);document.onmousedown=clickNS; }
else{document.onmouseup=clickNS;document.oncontextmenu=clickIE;}
document.oncontextmenu=new Function("return false")
// -->
</script>
And what’s even more ridiculous is what you can read at the bottom of the page.
If this tutorial helped you, please dont forget to link back in my site! Thanx a lot!!
What the…?! I mean, c’mon! Do you seriously think I’d believe she wrote that? If Aja says he wrote it, I’d believe him! If Malin says she wrote it, I’d believe her! I know they can do more. But if a girl who uses <div class="header"> instead of <h1>, <h2>,…<h6>, which is the semantic way of coding headers, says she wrote it, I’d have laughed at her face.
ANNE [dot] ONEWICKEDSOUL [dot] COM is owned by ME since 2006. Everything is copyrighted by me, otherwise stated. No copyright infringement was done. Plagiarism is a “no-no” HATE MY SITE? Then leave!
Bwahehehe if she says that everything is copyrighted by her, and that no copyright infringement has been done, I suppose I should believe her, right? It’s her site anyway.
I don’t exactly hate her site, but yeah yeah yeah….
I am leaving!
Anne, if you’re reading this, make sure you know how to use basic HTML codes correctly before you rip off someone else’s “genius” work. Credit is given when it is due, and when it is deserved. Since you don’t give credit to Dynamic Script or whatever site you got that script from, and even claimed it as your own by changing the name, I suggest either taking down that “tutorial,” or giving proper credit to the one who really deserves it.
For a second, I thought it was me that you linked. ^^;
It’s funny how these so-called “web owners” usually demand respect whereas they blatantly steal from copyrighted materials. Anyway, I would have found those type of site dubious with their dismal coding and grammar.
It is just sad that newbies, or those who didn’t know any better would fall for these owners superior skillz. /sarcasm
And you might be interested in one of Jem’s recent entries and its comments.
That is… ridiculous. So making something “your own” only requires you to put in your name and delete the name of the person who really made it.
I mean, okay, the no right click script is just stupid and useless, but still.
I’m speechless.
I need to stop feeling embarrassed for people I despise.
I dont put up visitors content anymore. I know its worthless anyway, since I cant really make anything for visitors. sa tutorials, para lang sa Photoshop yung ginagawa ko, kasi wala akong alam sa mga matinong coding. lol. it’s weird na people like her put up contents like that just for gaining online popularity. parang nawawala yung point ng pagkakaroon ng blog, kasi it’s for you. indi para sikat ka online. or para sa maraming hits or comments or whatever.
and madali nga yung masci. lol. sunod di pala ako nakapasa eh! haha!
If I were you I’d sent a quick e-mail to Renigade via the e-mail in the original snippet pointing this blatent theft out.
Thanks for the link though, I’m going to do a piece on bad tutorials v.soon and Anne’s website is a good example.
Lmao @ the No Right Click script. I used to use one of those a few years ago*…this is not surprising to you, I’m sure…
Her alteration of the script was a pathetic move on her part, as was the fact that she feels that in doing so it means the script ‘belongs to her’. Lame-o! As Jem wrote, definitely inform Renigade.
Hi by the way. Lurker finally commenting, blah blah blah. Have a nice day
* = about a year ago. Love me anyway?
Anne: Hehe, I actually thought you’d think that. But heck, the title of the entry is a dead giveaway that it wouldn’t be about you, right?
True, true. Anyway, I’ve actually read that entry before; just didn’t notice the comments till you mentioned it. Thanks!
Lexie: I know what you feel. And you already know mine.
I just can’t stop ranting about Pinay bloggers, can I? Haha!
Isley: I’ve always thought, “Leave the coding part to the experts.” I have no complaints whatsoever if what people offer are graphics tutorials. And I’m with you on that one; people nowadays claim they blog for themselves, but hehehe, we know better, right?
Heck, of course you’d pass MaSci! Ikaw pa?! Naman….
You should’ve also tried QueSci. Then say hi to my former teachers for me, nyahahahaha!
Jem: I was supposed to, but I thought I’d give her a chance to make this thing right. I was actually about to do an “article” about bad tutorials too, but you say it best, so I’m just gonna wait for yours.
Rhiannon: I know. I’ve been your frequent visitor since your .tk days.
Of course I still love you. Past is past, haha. Many people seem to have this thinking that making derivatives entitles them to owning even the original. Anyway, lurker? Seriously? *starstruck* Haha. Have a nice day too
i use other scripts and give all the credit the deserve, its unfair not to otherwise. yikes. thats insane tho.
No right click does not work at all. You can view the source code and still copy the contnt, not unless it’s flash and you don’t have a decoder. Hehe.
As a former “programmer”(IT nga ako dati di ba? Hehe) it would be very easy to catch who’s a code plagiarist. Hehe. The codes are exactly the same! Impossible na yun na pati codes saktong sakto tapos “coincidence”. Hehe
We all have been n00bs once, haven’t we? I’ve used a no right-click script during the first years of my Web authoring experience, but after learning enough about what the Web should be, I immediately avoided those obtrusive scripts.
IMO, there’s a very thin line between a good newbie and a bad one—I’m proud to have been on the good side. Newbies may take time to learn much about standards and such, but there’s one thing they should always know—to give credit where it is due.
Eeeewwww… I just visited her site and it made me feel all icky. Orange, a repeated image that isn’t fixed, flashing hearts on the navigation links, no title… *shivers* Don’t get me wrong, I’m under no illusion that my web design skills are way more advanced or whatever, but I know what’s yuck when I see it. Besides, I prefer simple layouts like these. Focus should be on the content.
*Comes back after some perusing* And then she has all those lame things “For Us” apparently… And what’s with her “Installing WordPress” tutorial? I hate seeing things like that on sites. They offer nothing new, why bother to take the time to copy and paste it then publish it?
Response to 371:
True! If I were to steal those codes, I would have taken time to change the variable names and the title to be less obvious of the infringement. Not that I really would—it’s still stealing, anyway.
Anna: It’s a thing everybody should really do.
Tammy: Exactly.
Aja: *feels awful* I know. Believe me, I do. Pero antag talaga ako, hindi ko kayang hindi maging antag! I’m not denying that I’ve actually used it before (I think, if I remember correctly), still, my point is that she practically stole a script. Sighs….Sorry, hehe!
Kat: Hehe, you’ve noticed toooo many things. Things that I’ve noted too, but didn’t bother to even write about. I guess I was rather more focused on the script-stealing than anything else. And the “Installing WordPress” tutorial actually made me laugh. I agree, why bother making an effort making things that anybody can get anywhere? *thinks for a moment* Beats me.
That’s pretty low of her to do that. The sad thing is that she’s not the only one out there stealing and claiming work as her own.
Response to :
Oh, what’s on the top is a lot more ridiculous! Read:
Response to :
Isn’t it obvious that I’m infuriated by this poser/copycat who refers to herself so ironically?
ate shari
she’s my online friend. i just can’t believe that she did that. she ripped off someone else’s tutorial, and worse she even claimed it as hers. not to brag but i also make tutorials not in wordpress but in photoshop so i definitely know the feeling.
hoping that sis anne would learn from this and that she won’t do it again.
ate shari i guess it’s pretty ok to put some scripts owned by others in your website as long as their is a disclaimer that once a visitor of yours use that, you owe no credit
take care!
xoxo
I’m really tempted to be on your better side..
I’ll make a credit page soon enough lol. (and a not so lawsuit incurring theme >_>)
sigh. nakokonsensya ako sa yo.
I love the footnotes, esp #3.
~
*hugs*
It must be really tough for you right now.
No offense, I hate the no right click script. And even if you put up a no right click script, I could still grab your graphics because I can just disable them with a click i using my ever so lovable Web Dev tools c/o Mozilla Firefox Plugins. =P
Btw…
http://img152.imageshack.us/im.....00khi1.gif
I admit that before I used a lot of graphics without proper credit. But as I learned more about ‘internet ethics’ I consciously started to give credit where it is due.
Oh my, I have that no right click thing on my blog. Hope you don’t take that against me.
I appreciate this post and its implications.
Kaysha: True. If only we can track everyone down.
Aja: My apologies, hehe. Should’ve noticed that. Of course, you have to put [sic] to save yourself from the bad grammar
H.Love: The important thing is that we learn, right?
Janelle: Yes, let’s hope to that.
Ann: Bwahaha! I’m not lashing out at you, am I?
Euri: Yeah. I can practically copy the whole website if I wanted to, haha!
Ate Rach: Really? I never noticed, hehe. But anyway, the real point here is that she has ripped off some script and claimed it as her own. I don’t really hold grudges against anyone who actually uses the script.
whew! Shari mapapa-away ka naman ata nyan.. hehehe
pero honestly, im one of those people who tends to forget the sites where I got the celebrity images I have in my PC. Maybe because my priority is to download and download and download into my PC. SO obviously, once I shut down my pc.. *rolls drum* the links are gone! and yes, i dont bookmark them! hahahhaa! am just too lazy to do that probably. gusto ko lang mangolekta ng pics sa PC ko.. hahaha … malay mo, magamit ko in the future??? hehehhehe
ngayon ko lang napansin, may pa-footnote-footnote ka pa ah! astig.. hahaha!
oh by the way, i hate websites with no right click. and yes, i do have the web ek-ek addons from mozilla.. so useless! hahaha!
wow. you are a good investigator, Shari. *HUGS YOU*
well, disabled right-click is an old school na. hindi na siya ginagamit ngayon.
Ate Ems: I know. Haha! But I don’t think anyone’s really gonna bash me on this publicly, because I’m right. They can hate me for slamming some goddamn sense into their stubborn heads, but there’s no denying that I have a very valid and solid point here. They can whine all they want, but they’d just look ridiculous if they rant about me noticing that they’ve ripped off some materials from sites and don’t even bother to give credit. And you know what really makes me hate them? They’re so frigging adamant about other people giving credit when they can’t even do it themselves. What a bunch of hypocrites. I really wanna name names here of all the Filipino sites I’ve been to that sell layouts using noncommercial materials, but I guess I have that little respect for them for now. So anyway, the bottomline is that anyone who chooses to disagree and/or fight with me regarding this issue is bound to get lashed out with pointed explanations why what they’re doing is wrong, and I might even have to email the material owners just to report that they have frigging stealeeeeerrrrrrsssss! Because, you know, everybody just flips out whenever someone steals their works. *rolls eyes*
Anyway, hmmm…Ako kasi, I really diligently bookmark my resources or write them down. I even credit sites even if I don’t use their work. Just the mere fact that I have or might have an intention to use them is enough for me to actually do it in advance. But then, I rarely download pictures, and the only site I really ever go to whenever I’m in need of photos is sxc.
Ayun, as I’ve mentioned before, I actually don’t hate websites with scripts like that, except maybe if the scripts make me click more than 2 times which can be really annoying. What I dislike is the fact that certain people online are a bunch of hypocritical ignoramuses.
I know. I’m so antagonistic talaga, pero I can’t help it. Everyone knows that giving credit is important, yet these ass-kissing fucktards are not doing it.
Laasya: Yes, yes. I’m actually your local Nancy Drew. Haha! And, really, call me a bigot, but most Filipinas do this, so you just have to look for Pinoy websites and you’re bound to run into a situation like this. Almost everyone does it. *shrugs* I just wasn’t expecting someone blatantly doing something like changing the name into something, with all the original coding. Hot damn. Haha!
Halo Shari, una sa lahat tenkyo sa email, you’re sooo sweet!
And hey, ano ba ‘to baka may mang away na naman sayo hehehe…
ignore mo nalang yang ganyang klaseng tao at least di ka inaway jan
Hugz to yah!
aww condolence shari
ayy ganyan ako minsan nakakalimutan kng i-credit kasi nawala ko yng link lol. ang tanga! hahaha. nakakatawa naman yan pati yng name ng coding pinalitan. sino ba namang matinong tao ang gagawa niyan lol.
nga pala thank you sa pag bati sakin in advance. hahaha. kng pwede ka lang sana pumunta sa debut ko sinendan na kita ng invitation
Ethel: Err, just read my response to ate Ems’ comment. Hehe
Anyway, glad you’re doing fine now.
Tiffany: Thanks.
I’m okay now. Onga eh, katangahan talaga. *sapo noo* Ewan ko ba. Bwahaha! Happy birthday in advance uli
when shari starts …nobody can stop her:)
Point well taken.
So you all better watch out!:D baka ma-meantime girl kayo ni Shari! haha
I think it would have not been so bad if they would have put a link to reference the original. Not every tutorial is understandable to each person seeking it.
However, I would also just put together a resource page if all I could do was put something like that in exact coding to another.
There are better tutorial sites than Tutorialistic (it is very helpful)… I actually was disappointed to see Michan of Shame-less give up on her tutorials when she had started her own in depth and very helpful site way before…perhaps I will direct her that way and see if Jem is open to Michan’s brilliant way of bringing a tutorial to the public eye.
If Jem reads this, and I have not IMed Michan or emailed her… feel free to. Michan would be a great asset as a tutorial writer too.
As for getting back to the original subject…. I just think that despite the person wanting to help, it is another show on how not to be helpful, especially concerning netiquette.
Oh, I put you on my affies… I am embarrassed that I had not had your link in there as you were a former hostee and I still visit your site.
Wow about Anne’s situation… I’ve never written any Javascript scripts… I’m not all that good in that, even though I did learn some stuff from the class I recently took.
In all my years of owning a website I have never once written a visitors section. Mainly because of my own lack of talent, meaning there’s not very much I can do that other people would want.
But you definitly make me think about whether I properly give credit when I use other people’s things. And I hope it’s sufficient. ..I should probably look into that. xD
That’s crazy!! Don’t you hate it when people do that X[ makes me sick to my stomach. Anyways, I really love the site, it’s so beautiful.
i hate when people steal things, claim it as their own, but have the audacity to put a copyright notice on their site. it makes no sense at all. i’d write to the original owner and they’ll probably make her take it down.
I’ve never written any codes before, and if I plan on doing so, I’d have to have looots of free time. Say during the summer ?
Anyways. I suppose she thought she was being brilliant by changing that and therefore making it hers. If I were to put some script on my page for others to use, I’d still credit the original person. If I were to steal a code, I would change some stuff around using copy and paste (HAHA) and add a few capitalized letters here and there.
Geez. I’m also really .. “proud” (if that’s the word) of you for actually putting the name and link up. If it was me, I would rant, but not put the link up, cause I would feel kind of bad about it, unless it really made me mad.
You’re such a total beeyotch, Shari! Nananahimik yung tao, tapos guguluhin mo!
NAH! Tama lang yan! She had it coming. Tsk tsk.
That’s why I heart you and your blog… exposé to the max! Parang nanonood ako ng Imbestigador! Mike Enriquez, ikaw ba yan? LOL.
bravo bravo! i wonder what you’ve got to say sa website ko. wahhaha. alam ko wala pang “Credits” page… just because im lazy to do that.. pero ala naman nakalagay na “all credits go to me” or something like that, hahaha. defensive.
oh btw, kaya may error sa comments ko, kasi yung grins! di ko pa naayos. ala pang time. ^^
Have you tried reporting her? Just thought qbout hat just now. *lol*
Omg. I got scared. Lol. I admit my site isn’t neat.. I mean with the CSS thing. Kiber na lang. Lol.
Kaya di na ako naglalagay ng mga kung ano ano sa blog ko eh. Basta blog na lang.
Ate i cant open Anne’s site now, well bout your opinion i agree and uh sometime natamaan din ako kasi minsan di ko na nailalagay sa credits ung mga nakuhaan ko ng brushes pero i put naman there if nalimutan ko sila eh just email me and ill put them, pero anne i never know her, uhmmmm it might be possible kaya nia ginawa un para mag kacontent lang ang kanyang little blog.
kakatakot ka ate sha. bulgaran na ito. wala kang inuurungan!!!
*salute.
Response to 381:
You don’t even have to have the Web Dev tools and Addons be installed. The Options+Content dialog has got everything, much more has the about:config preferences list/editor.
I think this happened a lot its just that no one have the gut to point them out.You do good haha…I think people kinda take advantage of what internet provides for example the scripts.I dont know what people think while doing that.To get fame by doing that?I dont think so…
I can’t believe that people do this type of thing. Give credit where credit is due! Good on you for pointing this out!
Here’s something I don’t understand, how is telling someone to copy/paste something a tutorial. Wouldn’t a tutorial be explaining exactly what the lines in the script say?
Hahah I was just laughing when I read it :P Le sigh, we will always stumble upon people like that ^^
And I agree with Corinne; A tutorial isnt a copy-and-paste-thing :P
Response to 404:
It’s easier to do that using the plug-in. Kasi one click lang, disabled na yung javascript. :P
There are lots of ways. Sabi nga nila, pag gusto maraming paraan. Hehehe…
Ok ayaw mo kay Mike Enriquez? Eh di isa sa mga Tulfo brothers na lang! Mas malupit mag-exposé yung mga yun! lololox!
All kidding aside, I sincerely find all your mini exposé informative and enlightening. You’re an investigative journalist in the making, y’know. Keep it up!
Hey! Waw, I’m so famous in your post. Well, first of all, i really didn’t plagiarized your code about that right click thingy. The site where I’ve seen it was already placed an “anne” on it. “na-shock ng ako kasi ka-name ko yung naggawa” and with the credits, I was not able to to put credit “AGAD” on dynamic drive due to some reasons. And I think I explained it already to my Host. Well, with all your respect, thanks for being harshed and by judging that way (di mu man lang ako ina-approach).. Anyway, who knows? Sino nga ba ako para paniwalaan mo.. pero, I’m telling you the truth.. It wasn’t I who changed it.. Don’t worry.. I’ll try to haunt that person which I got the script which has “anne” on it.. i guess its a “pizco site”.. till here! and sorry again.. Thanks!
Anne,
I’m sorry but I really see inconsistency with your explanation.
Response to :
Response to :
Ooooookay? If you found the script at a Piczo site, then why even think of giving credit to Dynamic Drive diba? So all the while alam mong galing sa Dynamic Drive yun?
Due to some reasons? Hmmm. Alam mo, if you can put up a ripped off script in a whim, giving credit should’ve been a lot easier. Gaya nga ng sabi ng mga nag-comment, the most important thing is giving credit. You, as one of those who demand it, should know that. It’s really hypocritical. I’m sure you’re going to flip out if you find out that one of your works has been stolen. What makes you think that others will have a different reaction?
Buti nga I didn’t report it to the script owner mismo. Just imagine how and what that would be like. I admit that I’m really harsh; it shows, pero ganun talaga ako. Gaya nga ng nabanggit ko, you’re not the first person I attacked online dahil sa ganitong bagay, and you’re certainly not gonna be the last. I really have no patience for people who say that everyone who takes something from her site should give credit when she herself seems to have a problem with doing the same. And what? You’ve been blogging since when?
And this is APPROACHING you. Really.
Well, I do hope you find that “piczo site” where you got that script from. Good luck na lang. Since it seems that you didn’t even bother to bookmark the site, because you didn’t give credit, at mukhang nalilito ka ata kung saan mo nakuha yung script, I suppose that’d be hard.
Well, thanks for contacting me. And I hope this gets sorted out soon, before someone else decides to report you.
dapat ndi mo po itoh agad na ipinost.. yeah maraming mga katulad na ganyan sa mundo, but who’s perfect?! lahat naman nagkakamali din eh, dapat in-email mo muna xa o kea nag comment ka muna sa site niya about it, ndi ung bsta bsta k na lng mang hu2sga.. please.. don’t be harsh.. nag apologize na naman po xa eh.. thank you po..
Mina,
I’m not judging her. I’m stating a fact. And it wouldn’t make much difference if I comment on her site or post it here on my blog. Gaya nga ng madalas nating sabihin, “This is my blog and I can say what I wanna say,” diba? Dahil repository ito ng frustrations and thoughts ko, I have every right to write anything here.
hi shari! happy new year. hehe. ngayon lang ule ako nagkaron ng time for blogging. kamusta na? well about that site you mentioned, marami talagang ganyan, sad to say. anyways, good day
hehehe… wow!
ahmmmm…. di kaya kawawa yang bata?
pero sabagay, mali nga naman yun..
nakahanap lang siguro ng katapat… : D
For some reasons, i don’t believe what anne commented. Well, it’s just me.
anyway, goodluck na lang sa inyo! Peace out!
hahahaha. hella effing lame.XD So that’s why I wasn’t getting any updates on your site’s feed; you changed domains! dot com pa! HORAY!
Whoever uses no-right click/no-select scripts needs to get shot… or be forced to watch Barney videos over and over again while strapped down to a chair with eyes taped open. Yup!
Btw, I noticed you were quoting Magitek Designs in your credits article. Wow, I looked up to the owner of that site SO MUCH when I was just starting out. Brings back fond memories. XD
It’s amazing how many people do this. If she was a noob you could get past it. But she obviously knows it’s wrong, just by the whole “copywrite” comment. How very sad.
nyak. asar naman yan sis.. hayy madaming ganyan.. you cant help it.. kaht san sulok may mkkta kang gnayn.. hay nkoo…..
Response to 413:
It’s not about being a “mere human” here - of who’s “perfect” and not. It’s all about this simple thing called ethics. You do the research.
Wow… what a dumbass. The site doesn’t look very nice either.
Joy, another one of those sites. I mean my sites not perfect (probably not even close), but its common sense not to steal-both tangible and non-tangible-it’s all the same.
Hopefully some day people will learn.
yay shari! idol talaga. nasasabi mo talaga what’s on your mind. oh well, tama ka naman about dun sa issue eh. siguro kung nagdecide yung bata na maglagay ng tutorials sa site nya eh yun nga dapat she should give proper credits. ayan she learned her lesson na. hehehe
Mas magaling pa ako gumawa ng alibi kesa sa kanya.
[...] Hey guys! Have you heard the NEWS?! I’m plugged in this site. (in a negative way) Go and read this post. “I’m not afraid wether you can read it or not”.. I don’t know, but I don’t feel bad about it anymore. Not with the fact that I don’t care.. BUT, maybe.. for the truth that I’m not affected about it. *lols* [...]
I was just about to tell you na I’ve been to her site and she posted an explanation about what had really transpired, meron na pala.
I’m guilty of putting that no-right click script hehehe, nakakahiya
Response to :
Contradicting po ang statement mo.
i love your bitcheness. I should do that as well hehehe! When I designed someone else’s blog. I usually give credits to the images and everything that I use on the site or blog.
What a lame duck, she uses tables and center tags for a theme in WP?
Oh my. How lame of her o.O She shouldn’t have changed the codes. It’s soo immature =S She’s embarassing herself in front of so many people on the internet and that wud be the last thing i’d do to myself
And I’m willing to learn pa! Kaya if gs2 nyu ako turuan.. I hate people who rip off others… Anyway, I hope your friend RIP.
Again, the point is give credit. I don’t care much about your design as I’m not good at it myself. But I’m willing to teach, if you’re really willing to learn. And just to make things clear, I’m not angry at you, just irritated that this thing has happened. Hindi ako galit sayo, sa pangyayari ako galit. Like I’ve mentioned, selling stuffs using noncommercial materials (the thing some Filipinas are doing - jan ako galit) is bad enough, tapos nagulat ako na may ganito pa. Ganun talaga, mahirap paniwalaan, lalo na’t giving credit ang pinaguusapan dito.
And to Melle, hindi ito issue na “hindi ka namin tatantanan” ala Mike Enriquez. Pointed out what’s wrong, and it seems that the point’s well-taken (or so I hope). Gawd, just shows how shallow some people can get whenever they deal with important issues.
I agree with what Nina has said. This should really be the first step for you to be a better web designer.
i read this site from ANNE’s blog. whoa. she said that she got that code from a person with same name as hers. teehee. i really don’t know. im speechless.
And I know you know who I’m referring to. I doubt you don’t know those people who do this…thing.
If I were you, I wouldn’t buy layouts, lalo pa’t illegal yun. Kung marunong naman po kasi tayong gumawa ng sarili nating layouts, bakit kailangan pang bumili? At least kahit simple lang layout mo, wala ka namang ginagago. Sensya po if I come off somewhat harsh. I just feel very strongly about this dahil Pinay pa naman mga gumagawa niyan.
Matatanda na naman kasi sila eh, sana marunong silang umintindi. Bullshit yung sinasabi nilang copyright-copyright, eh mismong sila hindi marunong rumespeto sa intellectual property ng iba.
[...] actually showed themselves. Now I wonder if I’ve got lurkers too besides Rhiannon, who has already de-lurked last [...]
funny, i use a no-right-click script on my blog just to annoy people.
