I Almost Got Myself Killed
I drove to my brother’s school after I blogged yesterday to pick him up. It’s about a 5-minute ride from our house, but streets in our area are so narrow and congested that more often than not, someone has to give way1 Better be safe than sorry.
That said, I’m confident that I’m a pretty [and]2 trustworthy driver. I guess driving around the Elliptical Road and EDSA when I first held the wheel helped a lot. It wasn’t easy playing patintero with impatient drivers.
So anyway, I’ve been having these horrible series of dizzy spells the past few weeks, and a brutally painful one decided to hit me - hard - while I was driving! I felt like I blacked out for about 10 seconds, the road suddenly forgotten, but I was able to take control of the wheel quickly. The car swerved a bit, but both of us were unharmed.
I wonder what’s happening to me.
Oh my gosh! I’m glad you’re ok, Shari!
hehe patintero, tama ka Shar.
Glad you’re OK.
Pansin ko lang ha, yong ibang driver din kulang sa desiplina kakaiba talga jan sa manila grabeh kakatakot mag maneho
Eek! That’s why I’m so scared of driving. x]
gosh. that’s pretty dangerous. sana next time hindi na mangyari sayo yan!
Oh no! You should go get yourself checked by a doctor. My mom gets dizzy spells like that and has to take medication sometimes for it.
hindi ba highblood yan? mwehehe~
it’s good you got away safe and sound from the terrible incident. ang hassle talaga ng philippine roads.
magpatingin kana ate sa doctor. baka kung ano pa yan.
my dad wants me to drive when Im 1st year highschool na, kaso ayaw ko talaga. takot ako eh. lol.
ay grabe.. sobrang dami talagang pasaaway na driver dito.. tsk!
good thing, nothing bad happened to you and to your brother. ^^,
I suppose you should consult a doctor about this. Good thing nothing bad happened.
ONOZ! Good thing you quickly got control of the wheel again. Nakakatakot yun ah.
So glad you’re fine ate Shari! Pero I think you should go and have it checked. My gosh. What happened to you was scary.
That’s why I’m scared of driving in the Philippines. (: I’m glad you’re okay.
Ano yung dizzy spells? Ngayon ko lang narinig yun e (sorry for my ignorance) hehe.
Tyaka marunong ka palang mag drive, ako kasi hindi pa. Hehe.
Be extra careful next time! Who knows there might be no more next time. Wag naman sana. Take care!
buti na lang…
di bale bad grass tayo kaya di basta-basta ma-dededs!
hehe…
ingat…
I’m so glad to hear that you’re safe Shari. Sorry to hear about those dizzy spells. Maybe it would be best to have a check up to make sure you won’t be in another compromising situation. Take extra care.
Sharii!!! Miss you much dude!!!
Man, that must such a freaky experience! Amm so glad that you two weren’t harmed in any way. Maybe you should go check with a doctor because you sometimes can’t just ignore dizzying spells. You take care man! My freakiest car experience was when a car directly hit us at the side and I can never forget the force that shook the whole car! MAN! That was soo scary! Well glad you’re all right! Well tc now!!!
Check out my multiply from now on
It’s more updated with pics. hjehhee
God has other plans for you. hahaha!!!

Ohh my god…I hope you are okay now and your brother too.I involved in an car accident before and its scary.I have phobia of driving for like a week.Take care eh..
Blimey. You may need to see a neurologist regarding your dizziness. Glad you’re OK. I thought at one point this is related to your previous post. I was really gagging to spill my brain on that one, but I was working. Don’t worry, my views are totally with you 100 & 1%.
Donnez un coup de pied les bouts des porcs fascistes ! ( Let’s kick the butts of fascist pigs! LOL! )
Vers le bas avec l’impérialisme, le féodalisme et le capitalisme bureaucratique ! Vive la révolution !
aww you should see a doctor. hate ko din mga impatient na drivers kahit na hindi pa ako nagda-drive pero naexperience ko na kasi yan e.. aniways ingats next time.
Oh, darling, I hope you’re all right. And I agree with most of the commenters - you should visit a physician straight away.
I do hope you’re doing fine now & I hope you get better
Have a great weekend!
Uy, delikado ung ganun. Waah. Mag-ingat ka, Shari.. Lalo na sa Edsa…
I’ve had a few close-to-death experiences in driving too, but thankfully, nothing worse than the car breaking down in the middle of the road at 12 in the evening! hehehe!
Sincerely, it’s good to read that you’re alive… but then again… if you were dead, then I wouldn’t be reading this on your blog… because, well… you’d be dead. Do the dead blog in heaven? (The dead definitely blog in hell - they have to do write all those Internet meme tags OVER and OVER and OVER… of which they were guilty of tagging other people.)
In my life, I’ve had several near-death experiences. 1) Almost drowning (twice - beach + swimming pool)
2) Truck almost collided. Based on the angle of collision, I’d be dead first.
3) Eating a meal made by my friend. It was something called “Tofurkey” which was supposed to be a vegetarian tofu substitute for “roast turkey”. It was the most foul (or is that FOWL?), vilest thing I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. Pure tofu evil.
My friend and I still remain good friends, despite my near-death from food poisoning.
4) Lastly, I almost died from a previous job 5 years ago. All I did was WORK, WORK, WORK. All work and no fun makes fruity a cranky fruity.
L8tr days. Peace.
hindi ka ba gutom nun? yeah, an appointment with a doctor is in order.
