Goodbye :)
This is the end of the line for Misteryosa.com.
Blogging should have been a fun pastime, but I’m no longer feeling it here. This just isn’t me anymore, and I’m sad to say that.
I probably won’t close down the site, but there definitely won’t be any updates from here on. Well, maybe some announcements from time to time, but no more of the personal stuff.
This isn’t an easy decision for me to make, but it must be done.
Besides, I’ll probably take this decision back by tomorrow. 
I think I speak for all lurkers, readers and admirers of this blog (and of the Philippine Blogosphere) when I say:

ha? bat ganun 1st time ko lang magvisit sa site mo kc mabalitaan ko na nanalo ka bilang best personal blog for 2007. well ganun tlga kung di ka happy sa ginagawa mo wala din saysay kakagawa ng blog diba? so just take care.update will do, sayang un pinaghirapan mo tapos mawawala lang. naisip ko din yan dati kc blogger din ako. i have been blogging for 4 months now , in the past nagplan din ako nag iclose ung site kasi wala masyadong responce galing sa viewers but now naisip ko sayang un pinaghirapan ko kung di ko itutuloy. so naghinay hinay lang ako sa pagpost ngyon. iniisip ko lang na sana in the future makakatulong ung ginagawa ko sa iba.

I’m going to miss your blogs and thoughts on weird subjects. Hehe. But yes, hopefully you’ll take back that decision tomorrow. Haha.
this is a tough decision but i commend you for doing it.
kahit ako almost 2 moths n akong away from blogging, but from time to time i feel the urge to go back.

yeah i understand u shari, ders just one moment na u feel ul end up this stuff after a long years of doing this or that thing, maybe its not your thing anymore and maybe come one time ul be back and say hello’s to evryone, but as i’ve said, this thing may not be desame anymore, we have to move-on and prioritize other matters. Goodbye.. and goodluck on your journey ahead.

WHAT?! I mean… seriously. WHAT?!
I remember Twitting you… (seems like a lifetime ago)… something about regaining blog mojo. So… it hasn’t changed for both us. I currently hate my blog. I’ve been trying to reclaim it, but I feel like it’s owned by my readers and algorithm bots, lol. Umm… yeah, I know… that’s a silly/weird thing to say. For a short time, I got caught up in Google PR, popularity and all that f**king dumb shit… because I kept reading all these blogs that said all that shit was important. And all that shit apparently doesn’t really mean anything to me. I’m going back to why I started blogging in the first place. Me. Fun. Passion. Life. Myself. Sharing bizarre laughs with a few loyal readers.
I’ve been taking my damn time finding myself… OFFLINE.
All I can say is… it’s very hard to return online. But it’s even harder to quit and totally shut it all down. Why don’t you just go back when you feel like it? No need to shut it down… yet?
Your readers will return. I know I do… when I come out of my self-imposed misery… I usually bloghop over here. Only… to be honest… when I’m miserable, I don’t like reading about other people being miserable. It heightens my misery. So I tend to stay away from stuff like that.
In any case, I suppose I can catch you on Twitter. Your 140 character blog entries, lol.

sometimes i think of this: does blogging “exposure” deviate you from your original goal in blogging? this might be true for personal blogs since when you get a good number of “audience”, expectations arise and therefore making you aware of your future blog entries. that’s one reason why i don’t go to blog events. i’d like to keep my online identity online from the numerous people who might be reading my blog. pag sobrang na-attach kase ako sa kanila, it will definitely affect my posts, parang i’d want to please my readers.
anyway, it’s just my thoughts. di ka naman totally mawawala di ba, so, ok lang. stay where you are and will be happy. you will know how to reach your online friends if you need us.
Oh come on.

i agree with aajao, dati i don;t go din with bloggers events, one of the reasons is the same as what he mentioned, the only events i attended to date are the fud tours, haha (because of the free foods), and hopefully ay yung after party tom.
i don’t know, ako i have a travel blog, but my goal is to help people and to document na din ung mga napuntahan ko, pero may mga personal blogs ako na hanggat maari eh ayaw ko maexpose because from the word itself eh “personal”. at least doon, you can say whatever you want to say without thinking of how your readers will react, hehehe. we will miss the old shari but we are hoping na one day that old shari will be back maybe not as misteryosa but still the old shari that we know, haha, parang ang gulo ko… XD

Same here. I write my blog because everytime I push the Publish button, whatever it is that’s making me unhappy disappears in an instant. but now, yes, it doesn’t work that way for me anymore.

We would be discussing what it means to blog in the present times and what motivates us as Filipinos to blog. Furthermore we will be tackling issues like which blog sites are frequently used and why. FGD is to be held at Jollibee Plaza, Emerald Avenue, Ortigas at Dot ph domain office. FGD would be after office hours, approximately starting around 630-7pm. Snacks will be provided.
